That Broncos-Colts Thursday nighter really had Twitter going wild.
Most of it was people criticizing the quality of play from both teams during Indy’s ugly 12-9 win in overtime. And a good chunk of that criticism was directed specifically at Russell Wilson, who has easily looked like one of the worst quarterbacks in the league this season.
One of the people getting in on the Russ bashing was former fellow 2012 draftee Robert Griffin III,
It began with RG3 posting a photo of Melvin Gordon giving Wilson an evil look on the Broncos sidelines. The former Offensive Rookie of the Year asked his followers to “caption this.”
Former Eagles and Bills star running back LeSean McCoy didn’t seem to think that RG3 had any right to go after Wilson. So he stepped in and defended the Denver quarterback.
This led to quite the back-and-forth between the two former NFL stars, which we documented earlier:

Well, let’s just say things were getting so out of hand between these two that Deion Sanders had to step in and tell them both to cool it.
Seriously… Prime Time was playing peacekeeper on Friday. And it worked!
Maybe we can get Deion to mediate more of these Twitter beefs between NFL players. He clearly has the respect of most of them.
