Deion Sanders has reportedly set his sights on coaching a certain NFL team.
Sanders, who has previously cast doubt on any type of future as an NFL coach, recently revealed that he would consider making the step up to the pros if there was an opportunity to keep coaching both of his sons.
Vincent Bosignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is now reporting that associates of the Colorado head coach have “reached out to the Raiders” to let the team know that he is open to taking the job.
“He has a very strong interest in the job,” a source was quoted as saying.
Sanders previously appeared in a video asking Antonio Pierce to draft his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, but Pierce was fired this week, leaving a vacancy.
The team has started its coaching interviews, having met with Detroit Lions offensive and defensive coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn, as well as Kansas City Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo.

They are also scheduled to interview former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and former New York Jets HC Robert Saleh next week.
Johnson is believed to be the frontrunner for the post at the moment.
Deion Sanders Could Get The Raiders To Trade Up
According to Bosingore, Tom Brady, who has a great relationship with the Sanders family, will have a “significant voice” in the team’s decisions after becoming a minority owner late last year.
Shedeur previously worked with the seven-time Super Bowl champion, who mentored him, and signed a NIL deal with his TB12 clothing brand back in 2022.
However, it is unclear as to whether the Raiders are as interested in Sanders as he is in filling the vacancy.
Vegas has the No. 6 pick in the draft and would probably not have a shot at the quarterback, who is projected to go top three. But, should they somehow hire Coach Prime, they would be inclined to trade up to draft the former Buffaloes star.
