Sports columnist and television personailty Skip Bayless has made a career of offering up his usually controversial opinions on various topics within the sports industry. Recently, an old video from the 90’s resurfaced where Bayless and Pam Oliver were interviewing then Dallas Cowboy Deion Sanders.
Bayless had recently written a book of the Cowboys and in it he mentions that quarterback Troy Aikman and head coach Barry Switzer were having a feud and Bayless had written that Switzer and people within the Dallas Cowboys organization thought Aikman was a homosexual.
In the video above, both Deion and Pam Oliver came to Troy’s defense, rightfully so, as all of this was just speculation and should not have been put into the book as being factual. At one point during the interview, Oliver steps in and says “Journalism 101, you do not print rumors.”
The world has changed quite a bit in the 30 years since this interview has taken place, however, some things will never change such as Skip Bayless offering up his contentious opinions in order to sell his latest book or generate a large television audience.
Needless to say, when football fans had viewed the old video on social media, they were quick to give Bayless some of their own controversial opinions, some of which can be seen below:
