Deebo Samuel Responds to Video of Him Refusing to Sign Ball for Kid at Camp (TWEET)

Deebo Samuel addressed a video that shows him walking past a young autograph seeker during his youth football camp in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Samuel responded to a tweet and stated that all campers went home with a signed photo but that he could not sign personal items.

Hosting a camp in my hometown this past week was a real blessing and the support was truly special. Thank you to the campers, parents, coaches, support staff, Spartanburg HS and the city of Spartanburg.

400 campers I wasn’t able to autograph personal items, but every camper went home with a signed photo.

The young fan wanted Samuel to sign a football with the 49ers logo on it.

Samuel has been enthralled in a months-long trade request from the franchise, which is where he’s played the first three seasons of his NFL career. Samuel not signing the ball apparently had nothing to do with the team logo being plastered on it.
