Deebo Samuel has had enough of speaking about the Philadelphia Eagles.
The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver was asked about previous statements made about the Eagles, whom Samuel said San Francisco would have beaten in the NFC Championship game had quarterback Brock Purdy not gone down with an injury.
While on CBS Sports Radio’s “The Zach Gelb Show” Monday, Gelb tried to revisit that moment on air, Samuel replied, “I don’t know that though.”
Samuel was then asked if he still believed in what he said, but he added, “I do, but we’re not gonna keep talking about that. I said what I said.”
The radio host then continued to press Samuel about the 49ers and Eagles’ upcoming rematch this season in December, which caused the pro bowler to end the conversation.
“I don’t know. Just wait until Week 13, 12, whatever week it is, and we’ll show you,” Samuel said before he seemingly handed the phone to a public relations specialist.
“Alright, we’re good to go,” the individual said.

The host was not happy.
“We got hung up on because all we did was ask him about the quarterback situation, and then Philadelphia, and we got hung up on by Deebo Samuel? That’s a joke, an absolute joke. That’s absurd,” Gelb said.
Samuel is clearly done with the past and ready to move on to 2023. The 49ers and Eagles will meet on Dec. 3 in Philly during Week 13 of the 2023-24 season.
It is one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the season.
The 27-year-old was limited to 13 games last season due to hamstring and ankle injuries, and his production fell off tremendously. Samuel recorded only 56 catches for 632 yards and two touchdowns while adding 232 rushing yards and three more scores on 42 carries.
The previous year saw him earn first-team All-Pro honors after posting 77 catches for 1,405 yards and six touchdowns plus 59 carries for 365 yards and eight scores. He was rewarded with a three-year contract extension worth up to $73.5 million with $58.1 million guaranteed prior to last season.
