During the 49ers’ 24-9 win over Los Angeles on Monday night, Deebo Samuel provided the play of the day when he torched the Rams’ defense in the second quarter for a 57-yard score.
Jalen Ramsey had a chance to wrap up the 49ers’ star but Samuel broke loose and made his way to the end zone.
On Tuesday morning, Samuel took to Instagram to troll Ramsey.
“I don’t know what he was doing out there,” Samuel said of Ramsey’s tackle attempt Monday night. “I just went right by him. He was just backpedaling. I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ ”
The Rams beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship last season and went on to win the Super Bowl.
Later on Tuesday, Ramsey and Samuel took to Twitter to engage in a light war of words. Ramsey seems to be taking issue with Deebo Samuel’s social-media activity.

Deebo Samuel hauled in 6-of-7 targets for 115 yards and one touchdown in San Francisco’s Week 4 victory versus the Los Angeles Rams. Ramsey had two tackles.
The Rams and 49ers will meet one more time this season. That game takes place on Oct. 30.
