San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has offered an apology to an NFL cameraman for a particular incident that took place during his team’s blowout win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
The 49ers ran out to a 35-7 victory, condemning the legendary Tom Brady to one of the worst games of his career. The veteran quarterback was picked twice and signed that same ball for one of the players who made an interception – it was just that kind of Sunday.
A cameraman also took an L home from the game. After getting knocked down by Samuel while the WR was headed to the end zone for a rushing touchdown, he got stepped over Allen Iverson style by Deebo as the 49ers celebrated.
Deebo Samuel Says He Was None The Wiser Until Watching Tape
Fans were obviously displeased by the lack of sportsmanship on display there but Deebo claims the action wasn’t conscious and he was simply in the moment, having apologized via a tweet on Monday afternoon.
“My apologies for stepping over the camera guy. Definitely didn’t realize I did it until watching the tape. Was just in the moment. My apologies my guy,” he wrote.

Samuel didn’t get to finish the game as he would hurt his ankle later on and had to be carted off.
The 49ers are hoping for the best given the great season Deebo is having. The 26-year-old has registered 54 receptions for 612 yards and two touchdowns in the air and 41 rushes for 228 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
