Former NFL linebacker Brandon Short is still mourning the loss of his daughter who was found fatally shot in the head back in 2021. Short’s 26-year-old daughter, Karli, was pregnant at the time of her death.
On Monday, the Allegheny County District’s Attorney’s office announced that it intends to seek the death penalty against Isaac Smith, the man who is accused of killing Short.
Smith is accused of shooting and killing Karli Short in McKeesport in September 2021. Investigators said Smith is the father of that unborn child.
Short was 26-years-old and 17-weeks pregnant when she died.
No court date has been set at this time.
The 44-year-old father wrote about his daughter’s passing in a Facebook post.
