Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins wanted to clear the air on a rumor regarding his contract in a tweet on Sunday.
Hopkins has been the focus of NFL trade rumors over the last three months, and there has been speculation that he is seeking a raise on his contract. But in a tweet that has since been deleted, the five-time Pro Bowler poured cold water over this rumor.

Back in January, Jordan Schultz of theScore reported that the Cardinals were looking to trade the 2013 first-round pick. The 30-year-old Hopkins is under contract for two more seasons.
A six-game suspension (for violating the NFL’s PEDs policy) and injuries limited Hopkins to nine games last season. He still finished the year with 64 receptions for 717 yards and a trio of touchdown receptions.

The Cardinals acquired Hopkins in a 2020 offseason blockbuster trade with the Houston Texans in a move that predictably turned out to be extremely lopsided in Arizona’s favor. Through three seasons as a Cardinal, Hopkins has 221 receptions for 2,696 yards and 17 touchdowns.
