DeAndre Hopkins was busy slaying people on social media this week and his first victim was former left tackle Taylor Lewan.
This week, the Titans shared a video of Hopkins walking out to the team’s first training camp practice of 2023, which led Lewan to jump in the comments to joke about Hopkins possibly getting yelled at for walking to practice. The comment wasn’t malicious at all, but Hopkins surely took it that way.
Hopkins fired a shot at Lewan, saying the former Titans left tackle probably got yelled at for giving up five sacks to Chandler Jones, which he did in Week 1 of the 2021 campaign against the Arizona Cardinals.
Lewan shared the roast on Twitter.
Hopkins wasn’t done shredding people on social media, as he had quite the response to a radio talk show host who tried to take a shot at him practicing following rumors from this offseason.

Hopkins brought up his wife in this scenario.
The 31-year-old was released by the Cardinals earlier in the offseason.
Hopkins agreed to join the Titans in free agency on Sunday. The two-year, $26 million deal will keep Hopkins in Tennessee through the 2024 NFL season.
Last season in Arizona, Hopkins missed six games due to a suspension and a handful more to injury. He featured in nine games, registering 64 receptions, 717 yards and three touchdowns. Hopkins has missed 15 out of 34 possible regular-season games over the last two years due to a hamstring injury, a torn MCL and a suspension.
The combination of Hopkins and Derick Henry should be deadly in the AFC.
