DeAndre Hopkins certainly wanted out of Houston, but only because he and Bill O’Brien had issues that seemingly got worse over the years.
He got his wish when the Arizona Cardinals landed him and a 4th-round pick in a trade that got the Texans running back David Johnson, a second-round pick in 2020 and a fourth-round pick in 2021.
It was just a horrible trade for the Texans and Hopkins certainly agreed when he ‘liked’ a tweet on Twitter that took shots at his former head coach Bill O’Brien.
Hopkins finished the 2019 season with 104 receptions for 1,165 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns.
