DeAndre Hopkins is ready to sign with his new team, but he also made a bold claim before he ever signs his name on the dotted line.
Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins remains the most prominent free agent available for NFL teams, but he plans to take himself off the market, especially if he is delivering promises like this.
One area he believes he would definitely improve is the wide receiver room:
“Whoever’s in my future wide receiver group,” Hopkins tweeted, “I promise I will make your job easy.”
At this point, the three-time, first-team All-Pro is still on the open market. His contract demands might be a reason why nobody has picked him up yet.
While injuries and a suspension limited him to nine games last season, he still pulled in 64 catches for 717 yards and three scores. There’s little doubt that the three-time first-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler is still a threat.

Hopkins has taken a pair of free-agent visits to the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots, but has left both locations without signing a deal. However, he did get an offer from the Titans but the terms were never released. We’ll see if Hopkins ends up taking more visits before deciding on his team for 2023.
Whichever team lands him will have a happy quarterback.
