The 2020 NFL season got off to a rough start for the Houston Texans as they scored the first TD of the season, and proceeded to watch the Chiefs score 31-straight before they got on the board again.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins then seemingly wasted no time in throwing shade at his former team with a cryptic post on Twitter after the team lost 34-20.
Hopkins has since clarified his tweet suggesting that he was referring to his virtual appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
He may be telling the truth, but the timing of his tweet still leaves questions regarding his intentions.
Hopkins, who got traded by the Texans this offseason, recently inked a $27.5 million signing bonus and $42.75 million in guaranteed money.
