LAPD just proved why protests around the country are going on right now.
Good Samaritans who were trying to help the owners of a Los Angeles liquor store protect their business from alleged looters actually found themselves being places in handcuffs and detained by police.
Reporter Christina Gonzalez was outside the Van Nuys liquor store where community members were vowing to protect the storefront from potential looters because the owner was a valued member of their community.
The store owners and members of the community got into a standoff with a group of alleged looters which led to them flagging down cops.
When Los Angeles Police officers arrived in front of the store, there was confusion and officers detained two Black good Samaritans.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Deandre Hopkins made sure to bring notice to that video so everybody could see exactly why protests have been going on and how Black people are looked at by law enforcement.
