Judging by some recent Twitter activity from free agent wideout DeAndre Hopkins, we can probably rule out one AFC heavyweight as a potential landing spot.
Bleacher Report’s B/R Gridiron Instagram page posted a graphic of Hopkins along with a report from ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, which stated that the Buffalo Bills would be interested in adding the five-time Pro Bowler if he wants to chase a ring.
As you can see in the screenshot below, Hopkins seemingly showed little desire to join the Bills with the following comment on the B/R Gridiron post:
The Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots have already met with Hopkins, and they’ve both been viewed as the two main front-runners for his services. The cap-strapped Kansas City Chiefs have also been mentioned as a contender for the perennial Pro Bowler.
Hopkins was released by the Arizona Cardinals on May 26 after the club was unable to find a trade to their liking. By releasing Hopkins, the Cardinals took on a massive $22.6 million dead cap hit for the 2023 season.
