David Njoku just can’t seem to stay away from those home accidents this season. Thankfully, they only appear to be fueling his play on the field.
The Cleveland Browns tight end’s latest in-home mishap occurred just over a week ago. According to Njoku himself, he stubbed his toe while walking around at home, and the injury was so bad that it caused him to bleed everywhere and required stitches.
The gruesome injury didn’t stop him from suiting up and making an impact just a few days later against the Chicago Bears, however, as he had his best game of the season — tallying 10 receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown in a 20-17 victory.
While the toe injury is no joke, it’s certainly a lot more pleasant than his previous at-home injury, which saw the 27-year-old veteran sustain serious burns to his face and arm while trying to light a fire pit.

Despite the nasty burns, Njoku still played through the pain that week and notched a team-high six receptions for 46 yards in a 28-3 loss to the Ravens.
Hopefully Njoku can stay safe and avoid any further home accidents — although, based on his performances, maybe another stubbed toe isn’t so bad after all.
