The Cleveland Browns may be without one of their key offensive weapons for Sunday’s Week 4 home contest against the AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, tight end David Njoku is questionable for tomorrow now after suffering burns to his arm and face “during a household accident.”
Njoku has 10 receptions for 92 yards through Cleveland’s first three games. Last season, the 27-year-old recorded a career-high 58 receptions to go along with 628 yards and four touchdowns (matching a personal best).
The Browns’ 2-1 start has been fueled by the league’s No. 1 defense which has surrendered the fewest yards and points per game. The defense has made up for a sluggish start by Deshaun Watson and the inconsistent passing game, but the Browns will need more from their offense against Baltimore’s stingy secondary.
Baltimore will be short-handed for this game in Cleveland. They’ll be without wideouts Rashod Bateman and Odell Beckham Jr., Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey and linebackers Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo.
The winner of Sunday’s showdown will be 3-1 and potentially in sole possession of first in the AFC North, depending on the outcome of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ contest against the Houston Texans.
