While Making ‘Play Of The Day’ At Training Camp
Wide receiver David Durden made a diving touchdown catch on fourth down of a situational “Mojo Moment” drill, but he also suffered an unfortunate head injury during practice.
That play of the day came at a high cost as he was forced to leave practice right after that spectacular catch.
According to Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News, the undrafted free agent suffered a concussion and he is not expected to compete in Saturday’s preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Durden was signed by the Cowboys out of West Florida where he racked up 1,128 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior. He was also a skilled punt returner who averaged 17.7 yards per return with a score.

A record of 12-5 will usually win you a division, but not for the Dallas Cowboys. After finishing the season 12-5, the Dallas Cowboys made it to the NFC Divisional round after defeating the Tampa Bay Bucs in the Wild Card round.
However, they would lose to the San Francisco 49ers and get eliminated by them for the second-straight season.
After this loss, there were numerous calls from fans to fire Head Coach Mike McCarthy, but he was brought back in what might be his final year should the team not get any further in the postseason.
