Earlier this week, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston posted a video of himself training not only for the upcoming season but for a team out there to show them he is primed and ready if they are thinking about signing him.
Winston could be seen shuffling his feet while dodging a punching bag that was swung at him. The drill was supposed to mimic defensive pressure.
Former NFL quarterback and current analyst David Carr saw that video and had to call it out, saying, “Stop paying your friends to train you.”
“Stop. Get some help. I’ve been in a lot of collapsing pockets and never once did I have defenders just flying at my head,” Carr said.
Winston would respond to him several hours later by posting proof that the training drill works:

The former No. 1 overall pick of the Houston Texans knows all about being drafted high and not delivering, but he has carved out a nice post-career talking about football.
For Jameis, he still has a bunch of years left in him and there will be a team to sign him before the 2020 season.
