Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy has revealed why he broke up with Silvana Mojica.
Dave and Silvana were one of the most popular couples online given both their platforms, so news of their split made headlines last week.
Portnoy, who regained full control of Barstool earlier this year after severing ties with Penn Entertainment, has rid himself of another relationship. And, speaking on his BFFs podcast this week, he explained his latest estrangement.
The 46-year-old noted that there were things Silvana wanted that he couldn’t give her, so their relationship reached a point where they just weren’t good together.
“We were dating for three years and I guess you get to a point where you think maybe there’s a difference in what somebody wants and what the other person wants and without going into too much detail, I just didn’t think I could give Silvana kind of what she deserves,” he said.
“She’s so beautiful, she’s funny, she’s smart, she’s all these things.”
Portnoy also refuted suggestions he had been unfaithful, insisting he did not break up with Silvana right before Thanksgiving on purpose. However, he did admit that he felt like he was stealing her youth.

“I got back on a Sunday from traveling, we broke up that Sunday night and it wasn’t expected,” he continued. “We got into a conversation that was kinda organic and one thing led to another. It was obviously something that was on my mind.”
Dave also claimed that the breakup wasn’t a total surprise as they had discussed the possibility several times before.
