Davante Adams has cleared up any speculation that anybody might’ve had after his friend was benched and might be gone next year. Davante Adams
Adams said he “definitely” wants to remain with the Raiders even without Carr, adding that he dreamed of playing for the franchise even before Carr was with them.
“Yeah, absolutely,” said Adams. “Like I said I wouldn’t have ended up here originally probably if Derek [Carr] wasn’t here, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that I won’t be here in the event that he’s not here. That’s my boy, obviously I got his back through anything, I’ve made that more than clear at this point. And I support him, I support everything that he has moving forward as well, but my dream was to play for this team before he was a Raider. And at this point I want to try to make this thing work and continue doing what I’m doing here. Myself get better and see the team grow and get better as well.”
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Las Vegas will seek a trade involving Carr.

Last week, backup QB Jarrett Stidham made his first career start after the Raiders benched Derek Carr for the remainder of the season. Stidham isn’t considered a long-term starter, which means the Raiders probably will seek an upgrade at the position in the offseason.
After three-straight games of sub-100-yard games, Adams had seven receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-34 loss to San Francisco on Sunday. He now has 1,443 yards for the season.
