The NFL Trade Deadline is Tuesday at 4:00 PM EST and a ton of fans are hoping that Davante Adams gets free from his misery from the Las Vegas Raiders.
The perennial All-Pro receiver’s disappointing season continued during Monday night’s 26-14 loss to the Lions, as Adams caught just one pass on seven targets. No WR caught a pass in the entire first half as quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo could get nothing done.
Monday night represented one of the worst statistical performances of Adams’ career as it was his fewest amount of receptions in a game since Week 8 of the 2022 season.
It appears that Adams reached his boiling point after Jimmy Garoppolo overthrew him late in the game on a play that could have been a touchdown. Adams slammed his helmet to the turf upon reaching the sideline following the incomplete pass.
Despite many calling for him to get shipped out to a better team, the Raiders have reportedly made a decision to hang onto him.
Garoppolo, who missed last week’s game with an injury, was just 10-for-21 passing for 126 yards and an interception for a 46.9 QB rating during Monday night. The season has been far from what Adams expected when he came to Las Vegas, as he has only recorded 46 receptions through the first eight weeks of the season.

His initial reason for being there was to play with former college teammate Derek Carr, but he got benched at the end of last season and has since moved on to the New Orleans Saints.
The team replaced him with Garoppolo and things are even worse now.
Adams is averaging 67.4 yards per game, which is a career-worst since 2017. He hasn’t topped 100 receiving yards since Week 3 and has more than four receptions in a game just once over the past four weeks.
The Raiders fell to 3-5 as they sit in third place in the AFC West.
