There is speculation growing that Las Vegas Raiders’ superstar wide receiver Davante Adams wants a trade.
Adams fueled trade speculation on Monday when he told reporters that the Raiders (1-2) aren’t properly building “a winning culture.” The Raiders dropped their second straight game on Sunday night, losing 23-18 to the Pittsburgh Steelers at home.
Matt Lombardo of FanBuzz analyzed six teams who make sense as landing spots for the perennial Pro Bowler. Lombardo listed the Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns and Adams’ old team, the Green Bay Packers, as potential destinations.
Adams sought a trade to the Raiders in 2022, wanting to reunite with old friend and Fresno State teammate Derek Carr. Last offseason, the Packers dealt Adams to Vegas for 2022 first and second-round picks.

Adams then signed a six-year extension worth $140 million with his new team. After a down year from Carr, however, the Raiders decided to release him into free agency. The 32-year-old wound up signing with the New Orleans Saints, leaving Adams without a Pro Bowl QB in Sin City.
Raiders’ quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has struggled with consistency in the early going, and it’s clear that Vegas downgraded at quarterback this offseason.
With the Raiders clearly resembling nothing close to a title contender, it’s easy to understand why Adams is frustrated. But it remains to be seen if the Raiders will actually trade their top offensive player.
