Davante Adams is already talking like a Jet, according to some of the reactions to his odd suggestion following his disappointing debut this past weekend.
Adams’ trade to New York has been sandwiched by a pair of losses to the Steelers, who beat his new team 37-15 on Sunday night.
The wide receiver now hopes for pastures that match the Jets’ green, having grown disenchanted in Las Vegas. But he’s gotten off to a pretty poor start, making just three catches for 30 receiving yards against Mike Tomlin’s side during their ‘SNF’ clash.
Adams admitted his annoyance with the result due to the quality he sees on the roster. He noted that the Jets failed to capitalize on their opportunities, something highlighted by a miscue from fellow wideout Garrett Wilson that led to an interception and changed the complexion of the game.
“Just didn’t execute in the opportunities or in the moments that we had to potentially put the ball in the end zone or finish a drive or get three, whatever it was,” Adams told reporters.
