Davante Adams is a Las Vegas Raider now. And he’s looking to make his mark in the AFC West right out of the gate.
Adams has been a busy man so far during his first game with the Raiders, as ol’ buddy Derek Carr has targeted him often so far during their game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The former Packers wideout isn’t just making his presence felt with his playmaking abilities, though. He’s also been using his physicality to dish out some punishment, as he and Chargers cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. got into it during the first half.
Five minutes into the third quarter, Adams already has seven receptions and 116 yards on nine targets.
The Raiders gave up first- and second-round picks for Adams, before signing him to a five-year, $141.25-million contract. After investing a lot in him, they clearly intend to get as much as they can out of the 29-year-old star wideout.
So far, they have to like what they see… and the first game isn’t even over yet.
