Former Ohio State football player Darron Lee was great when he was with the Buckeyes, but things have not been good for him since he got drafted into the NFL.
After helping the Buckeyes to a National Championship win, he was a first-round pick by the New York Jets soon after. Lee’s NFL career hasn’t really gone to plan and now it has gotten worse.
The 28-year-old linebacker found himself under arrest this year after being accused of assaulting both his mother and the mother of his son.
Court records show that Lee failed to appear in court on Monday to attend a hearing on domestic violence and assault charges stemming from two separate incidents.
Back in April, Police were called after Lee reportedly punched the female victim multiple times in the head during an argument. He initially told police the victim showed up at the residence uninvited and punched him in the face first, but he later recanted that statement.
Another woman who was in the residence said she was downstairs when she heard the victim yelling at the top of the stairs. When she went upstairs, she saw the victim lying on her back with Lee over her with a raised fist.
