Aaron Rodgers withstood pain from a toe injury, threw two touchdown passes and also ran for a score in the Green Bay Packers’ 36-28 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Late in that game, the Rams were trying to make a furious comeback by completing an onside kick. Green Bay Packers safety Darnell Savage was lined up on special teams to help field an onside kick with 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter when he took a vicious hit that had him on the ground afterwards.
Rams linebacker Christian Rozeboom was the culprit who delivered the hit.
Savage tweeted after the game that he was alright. Savage also got in a funny shot at Rozeboom by saying, “I guess hitting someone was more important than recovering the ball lmao.”
Rodgers went 28 of 45 for 307 yards as the Packers bounced back from a 34-31 loss at Minnesota.
