Darius Slay is not staying silent any longer.
On Thursday, the cornerback was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles just one day after asking for it to be sped up so he could leave the franchise.
Hours after his trade, he unleashed a tirade on his now-former head coach Matt Patricia.
Justin Rogers of The Detroit News says Slay stated he “didn’t respect Patricia as a person” even before the controversial decision to trade safety Quandre Diggs in the middle of last season.
The 29-year-old recorded 46 tackles, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and 13 pass defenses during the 2019 season.
