Aaron Rodgers wanted desperately to get back to the Super Bowl, one place he has not been since he hoisted the Lombardi Trophy after the 2010 season. Since that moment, he has lost in the NFC Championship game three times and eliminated in the second round after a 15-1 season.
The team fell short yet again against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, 37-20. It started bad and continued to be that way as they were down 27-0 at halftime before scoring a few touchdowns in the second half when things were pretty much over.
Shortly after the game, his girlfriend and former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt message to him.
Proud. Beyond words.
Endings are always hard. But this season was still pretty amazing and we nearly had our bags packed for the super bowl. I will ever forget the good times we had. Thank you for the memories @aaronrodgers12 and squad. Something tells me this is just the beginning of a good long run for the @packers.
