Dan Quinn is determined to bring in his guys by any means necessary and his former team is paying for it dearly.
The Dallas Cowboys continue to lose members of their staff as former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who became the new head coach of the Washington Commanders, continues to take their talent.
Quinn already took Cowboys passing game coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. to the nation’s capital, and now he’s taking another assistant.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Commanders are hiring Cowboys assistant Sharrif Floyd to be their assistant defensive line coach.
He is the latest departure on the defensive staff since Dan Quinn became the head coach of the Commanders.
The Minnesota Vikings selected 32-year-old Floyd in the first round in 2013. He played for the team for three seasons (2013–15) before retiring due to injury. In 2014, he had 42 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, and one pass defensed in his greatest season as an individual.

He ended his career with 9.5 sacks, four passes defended, a forced fumble, and 95 total tackles (57 solo).
Floyd helped the Cowboys’ defensive line be one of the best in the NFL.
He will now hope to re-ignite a Commanders defensive line that saw Montez Sweat and Chase Young moved ahead of the NFL’s trade deadline.
