It has been a terrible week for the people of Michigan following the tragic shooting at Oxford High School that left four students dead and several others injured. On Sunday, the Detroit Lions tried to do their part to provide the community with some healing when they pulled off an inspiring victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
In front of their fans at Ford Field, Jared Goff led the Lions on a two-minute drive that was capped with a game-winning touchdown to Amon-Ra St. Brown with no time left on the clock.
After the game, a very emotional Dan Campbell dedicated the game ball to the Oxford community. He then read off the names of the four students who lost their lives, as well as the students and teachers who were injured during the tragic events.
The names Campbell read are Madisyn Baldwin, Hana St. Juliana, Justin Shilling, Tate Myre, Phoebe Arthur, John Asciutto, Riley Franz, Elijah Mueller, Kylie Ossege, Aiden Watson, and teacher Molly Darnell. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who were affected by this tragedy.
