Less than one year ago, during a Monday Night Football matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills, the NFL endured one of its most frightening moments in league history, as Bills safety Damar Hamlin had to be resuscitated and rushed to the hospital in critical condition after making what appeared to be a routine mid-field tackle.
The game had to be postponed, as fans, coaches and players alike all prayed for the health and safety of Hamlin.
Thankfully, Hamlin survived the scry incident and has since been able to return to the field to play the sport that he loves.
Tonight, he crazy story will come full circle, as the Bills travel to Cincinnati for a marquee matchup with the Bengals on Sunday Night Football. It’s still expected to be an emotional night for all of those involved, however, the mood this evening will likely be at least somewhat affected by the Bills’ latest roster decision for tonight’s game.
According to reports, the Bills plan to make Hamlin a healthy scratch, despite all the storylines attached to this contest.

Despite being healthy to start the season, Hamlin has only appeared on one game thus far, as the Bills’ deep secondary has caused him to be a healthy scratch throughout most of the first half of this season.
Nevertheless, fans were still disappointed to learn that Hamlin would not be suiting up:
With or without Hamlin on the field, we should still be in for quite the contest between these two AFC powerhouses.
