Damar Hamlin is not home-free just yet despite returning to Buffalo, having spent the last week at a Cincinnati medical facility under intensive care.
The Bills safety has revealed he’s still taking tests, and passing them, while he works toward a full recovery from the life-threatening incident that nearly saw him lose his life last Monday.
“Not home quite just yet,” he tweeted on Tuesday afternoon. “Still doing & passing a bunch of tests.
“Special thank-you to Buffalo General it’s been nothing but love since arrival!”
The story could have been very different had folks not stepped up during crucial moments. Since that horrific night, the player has made remarkable progress and was able to watch the Bills’ final regular season game from the hospital on Sunday.
Doctors say Hamlin even set off alarms in the ICU with his celebrations as Buffalo beat the New England Patriots 35-23 ahead of their Wild Card fixture with the Miami Dolphins.

Of course, Hamlin will have no more involvement for the Bills this season, no matter how many tests he passes. It’s still unclear when he might return to football, if at all, but the most important thing is the fact that he’s alive and continuing to get better.
