Damar Hamlin has now raised more questions after he refused to answer one thing asked of him during his medical emergency.
The Buffalo Bills safety gave his first major interview since suffering from cardiac arrest on “Monday Night Football” on January 2nd against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, there was one question he decided to steer clear from.
Hamlin spoke with Michael Strahan for an interview that appeared on “Good Morning America.”
The former NFL player pointed out how Hamlin was young and in shape and asked how he could suffer cardiac arrest after making a tackle in the Buffalo Bills’ Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Hamlin paused for a bit then declined to answer.
“You’re 24, peak physical condition … how did doctors describe what happened to you?” Strahan asked.
Hamlin said “ummm,” then paused for several seconds. “That’s something I’m going to stay away from.”
Strahan then asked whether Hamlin had ever had any signs of having heart problems.

“Honestly, no. I’ve always been a healthy, young, fit, energetic human being. It was something that we’re still processing and still talking through with my doctors just to see what everything was,” Hamlin said.
The 6th-round pick in 2021 still has hopes he can return to the field, but the Bills are going to make damn sure he is in top-notch health before that happens.
This season, Hamlin has 63 solo tackles, one forced fumble, 1.5 sacks, and two passes defended. He appeared in all 15 games for the Bills last season before his medical emergency.
Here’s how skeptics on social media responded to Hamlin’s refusal to answer the question:
