On a night the Buffalo Bills kept making mistake after mistake, they saved their worst for the very end, and social media made sure to add to it.
The Bills looked like they had a fortunate win when Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz missed a kick wide right as time expired on Monday night. But there was a flag on the play for 12 men on the field by Buffalo.
The Broncos didn’t have any timeouts left but they wanted to get rid of the remaining time so they took a knee and rushed players on the field for a last-second field goal.
The sudden change caused the Bills to have 12 men and the Broncos an extra five yards which gave Lutz a second chance to hit the field goal for the 24-22 win.
Soon afterward, there was a nasty rumor that Damar Hamlin was the 12th man on the field.
As you can see, that went insanely viral, but it was incorrect information.

Damar Hamlin played defense Monday night for the first time in a regular-season game since leaving a January game in an ambulance after suffering cardiac arrest on the field.
The Buffalo Bills safety recorded his first tackle of the season late in the fourth quarter. This was the second time this year he was made active.
Hamlin’s return and tackle marked another significant step in his recovery after it wasn’t clear if he would live.
