Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin continues to make progress in his recovery after suffering a cardiac arrest during a Monday Night game against the Cincinnati Bengals that was canceled in the ake of his medical emergency.
The 24-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest after a tackle on WR Tee Higgins. He would stand to his feet and then drop as he had to be resuscitated on the field before being taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Hamlin was released from UC Medical Center this month and transferred to Buffalo General/Gates Vascular in downtown Buffalo to continue his recovery. We have since found out the cause of his cardiac arrest.
In the meantime, Hamlin has filed for two trademarks and plans on selling merchandise with them, doing motivational speaking and offering athletic services.
According to Josh Gerbin, the phrases are “Did we win” and “Three is back.” The ‘Did we wein’ is of course in reference to the first words he said after waking up in the hospital.

The applications also list educational and entertainment services for “motivational and educational speakers in the field of self- and personal improvement” and “health care services in the nature of athletic training.”
Things are looking up for Hamlin that he might be able to watch the Buffalo Bills during their first playoff game. His presence on the sidelines would be a major boost for him, the team, and the fans.
