Damar Hamlin has made some substantial process today, as we reported earlier.
According to the latest updates, the Buffalo Bills safety has opened his eyes and is now communicating with people. He has also been gripping the hands of doctors and loved ones who are present with him at the hospital
It’s been a day of great news and great progress following what has been an incredibly tough couple of days. One of the best stories to come out of the doctor’s updates was regarding one of the first questions Hamlin asked upon waking up today.
According to the Doctors, one of the first things Hamlin asked them was, “Did we win?” Of course, he was referring to whether his Bills won their game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night. But the doctors had an answer he probably didn’t expect to hear:
“Yes, you won the game of life.”

That statement couldn’t be more true, as Hamlin’s heart reportedly stopped twice on Monday evening, and doctors had to revive him both times (once on the field and another time at the hospital).
This is the type of news that the football world has been waiting to hear ever since that frightening scene unfolded at Paycor Stadium on Monday night. Hopefully it’s only good news from here and Hamlin makes a full recovery from this.
