Finally! The Damar Hamlin comeback is about to become official.
One of the great stories of the 2023 NFL preseason was seeing Damar Hamlin back on the field with his Buffalo Bills teammates. Unfortunately for the 25-year-old, the Bills’ defensive secondary is so deep that they team hasn’t been able to get him into a regular season game through the first three weeks of the season. But it’s looking like Hamlin’s time is about to come in week 4.
According to a report from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Damar Hamlin is set to make his return to the Bills’ lineup and will dress for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins in place of the injured Jordan Poyer.
Poyer was ruled out earlier today for this big week 4 divisional battle between the top two teams in the AFC East.
Hamlin will be in tough against a high-flying Dolphins offense that just put up 70 points and is now expected to get back star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

Hamlin was drafted by the Bills in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played in 15 games last season and started 13 of them before suffering his frightening injury during a week 17 game against the Bengals and missing the remainder of the year.
Expect him to get a roaring ovation from Bills Mafia when he takes the field at Highmark Stadium on Sunday.
