The Buffalo Bills and their fan base were hoping to get a big boost of confidence on the field from Damar Hamlin, but unfortunately, that will not be happening.
On Sunday morning, Damar Hamlin took to Twitter and announced he will not attend Bills-Dolphins wild-card game.
“My heart is with my guys as they compete today!
Supporting from home as I focus on my recovery. Nothing I want more than to be out there with them! LFG”
The 24-year-old is still recovering from cardiac arrest following a scary collapse at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium on Jan. 2nd. In the aftermath, the game was canceled. Since his collapse, he has received an untold number of tributes from across the sports world and beyond, and his recovery from the injury has been closely followed and celebrated. That was especially true in the Bills’ Week 18 victory over the Patriots, which secured the 2 seed for Buffalo.
Hamlin returned to the Bills’ facility for the first time on Saturday, visiting with teammates as they made final preparations for their playoff opener.
