Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, had to be rushed to the hospital after having a medical emergency during a basketball workout at USC’s Galen Center on Monday. The 18-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest.
It immediately made people remember when Damar Hamlin suddenly collapsed on the field earlier this year during a game against Cincinnati.
The Buffalo Bills safety, who has made a miraculous recovery, took to Twitter and responded to the situation involving Bronny.
“Prayers to Bronny & The James family as well. Here for you guys just like you have been for me my entire process,” he tweeted.
According to The Athletic on Tuesday, James was out of the ICU and in stable condition.
USC’s 2023-24 campaign does not begin until later this year. James committed to USC in May. He chose the Trojans over Ohio State and Oregon.

The McDonald’s All-American tenure at Sierra Canyon High School in California saw him go 95-22. He averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game his senior season.
He is eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft. LeBron has made it clear that he will retire after playing on the same team as his son, so it’s likely he won’t end his career with the Lakers.
Many prayers to the James’ family and a speedy recovery to Bronny in hopes that his health will be good enough for him to return to the court soon
