One Vikings player whose name has come up more than anyone else’s during this frightening Everson Griffen incident is running back Dalvin Cook’s.
Not only is Cook a close friend of Griffen’s but in the instagram video posted by the defensive end, he claims that Dalvin helped him purchase the gun he was seen toting in the since-deleted clip.
Because of this, everyone was that much more interested to hear what Cook had to say on the matter when he stepped to the podium for his press conference today.
Cook was asked about the mental health of Griffen, to which he answered that his main concern is his safety and well-being were his biggest concern. Cook also said that he tried to reach out to Griffen via text several times this morning , but did not receive a response from his friend.
Cook went on to talk about his relationship with Griffen and how it’s grown even stronger since Everson’s return to the Vikings this season. And, lastly, he also questioned why his name was mentioned by Griffen in the deleted Instagram post.
