Former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook reportedly offered his ex-girlfriend $1 million in order to clear him of wrongdoing following an alleged physical assault.
Gracelyn Trimble made sworn accusations against the free agent. And, according to a court filing obtained by the Star Tribune, the player’s legal team asked her to drop them in exchange for a sum of $800,000 which was increased to $1 million following her refusal.
The initial offer came with the condition of Trimble fashioning a sworn affidavit in which she would deny the previous abuse claims. The revised proposal included a request to send a letter (not under sworn testimony) to the NFL clearing him of wrongdoing.
The second offer was also refused.
This stems from November 2021 when Trimble filed a lawsuit against Cook alleging both physical and emotional abuse. The player filed a defamation suit in response.
She claims the assaults include throwing her over a couch and into a coffee table which resulted in severe head and nose injuries. He is also accused of choking and punching her, as well as brandishing a rifle and threatening to kill her.
