Free agent running back Dalvin Cook has hinted that he could link up with another star who’s searching for a new home this offseason.
Cook and DeAndre Hopkins are both without teams as they were recently cut from the Vikings and Cardinals, respectively. And it appears the RB is keen on playing in the same uniform as the Pro Bowl wide receiver in 2023.
The former Vikings star was a guest on The Adam Schefter Podcast this Monday and suggested that teaming up with D-Hop could turn the league on its head. Both players are among the very best in their positions, after all.
“If we end up on the same roster, that would be something epic for the NFL,” he said (H/T ESPN.com).
Cook has been a Pro Bowl player in the last four consecutive seasons while Hopkins has five appearances to his name.
“I know his mindset, and I done play against D-Hop a numerous amount of times,” Cook added. “When I been with D-Hop, we done chill together, we done been around each other like, and it’s like I kind of see the person that he is like, he want to win and that’s what my mind at to.
“I want to go win. Like I said, the money gonna come and that’s going to happen. But like as far as going to lift that [Vince Lombardi] Trophy up, he got the same mindset as me.”

The Miami Dolphins are thought to be interested in adding the running back but, should they sign him, it’s unlikely that they would acquire Hopkins as well given that they already have Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Supplementing their offense with a player like Cook could do wonders for the Fins, however.
Head coach Mike McDaniel was asked about the possibility last week but was not clear in his response.
Meanwhile, Hopkins has had visits with the Titans and Patriots; both teams are thought to be feeling positive over the prospect of a contract.
