While it’s customary for NFL players to name their college during NBC’s player introductions on Sunday Night Football, some guys like to deviate from the norm.
This week, it was Vikings left guard Dalton Risner who decided to try something different, as he passed on naming his university (Kansas State) in favor of his high school…
“THE Wiggins High School,” which is located in Wiggins, Colorado — which is only about an hour from Denver, where tonight’s game is being played.
In addition to growing up in the area, Risner also spent his first four seasons in the NFL as a member of the Broncos after they took him with the 41st overall pick in 2019.
Nothing would be sweeter for him than getting the win in this homecoming contest.
