The Dallas Cowboys needed to come up with something special on the final play of the game against the 49ers, as they were trailing by seven points and had to somehow go 76 yards down the field just to have a chance at tying things up.
Apparently, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy had an idea, and it involved Ezekiel Elliott playing center and pass-blocking for Dak Prescott.
My guess is Dallas didn’t work on this play too much beforehand. If they had, Zeke probably would have been a little more prepared for what was to come, because immediately after snapping the ball, he was buried by a 49ers pass rusher.
It’s as if Zeke never even saw it coming.
You kinda want to feel for Zeke here, because there’s no way he should have been put in this situation by his coaching staff…

At the same time, it’s hard not to laugh at the Cowboys running back—which is what most people on social media did.
Zeke will have plenty of time to climb back out of that hole now that the Cowboys have been eliminated following their 19-12 loss. It’s going to be another long offseason in Big D.
