If Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott can lead the franchise to its first Super Bowl championship in 27 years, he’ll take home a very lucrative bonus.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Prescott will receive a $1 million bonus if the Cowboys win the Super Bowl this year. Minnesota Vikings signal-caller Kirk Cousins was also eligible for the bonus, but his team was eliminated by the New York Giants on Sunday.
Prescott and the Cowboys will visit Tom Brady and the NFC South Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Monday night. The Cowboys have just one playoff win dating back to the 2015 season, and that took place against the Seattle Seahawks in the 2018 NFC Wild Card Round.
Brady owns a perfect 7-0 record against the Cowboys, including victories in Week 1 of the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Dallas (12-5 regular season record) finished the season four games ahead of Tampa (8-9), so something will have to give on Monday.
