The Dallas Cowboys are set to take on the New York Giants this Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 4:30 PM ET at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys are sitting at 4-7, and while they managed to grab a 34-26 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 10, they still haven’t really hit their groove this season. The Giants are having an even rougher time, though. With just a 2-9 record, they’re riding a six-game losing streak. Their most recent loss was a 30-7 blowout at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants: Head To Head Stats
The Cowboys and Giants rivalry began in 1960. The Giants initially had the upper hand, but by the mid-60s, the Cowboys started taking control. In fact, during the 70s, Dallas won 17 of 20 games against the Giants! Then the Giants came back strong in the 80s, and since then, it’s been pretty back-and-forth, with both teams having their fair share of wins. It’s been a crazy ride! Lately, though, it’s been all Cowboys, as they’ve won 11 of the last 12 games since 2017.
What makes this rivalry even more interesting is how rare it is. There’s no other Texas team facing off regularly with a New York team in the same division, so it really stands out in the world of sports. As of now, the Cowboys lead the all-time series 76–47–2, though the Giants have the edge in their one playoff meeting, holding a 1–0 record.
Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants: Probable Starting Lineup
Trey Lance will be the starting quarterback for the Cowboys, with Rico Dowdle stepping in as running back. The wide receiver spots will be filled by Jalen Tolbert and Jalen Brooks, both hoping to make some big plays. Tight end Luke Schoonmaker is another one to keep an eye on, and Tyler Guyton will be taking care of business on the offensive line.
Drew Lock will be the quarterback on the Giants’ side, with Tyrone Tracy Jr. as the running back. Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson will be catching passes, and tight end Daniel Bellinger could play an important role, too. Joshua Ezeudu will anchor the line while working to protect Lock.
Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants: Injury Updates
The Cowboys have a few players dealing with injuries going into the game. Cooper Rush has a sore knee and isn’t fully practicing. On the O-line, Asim Richards, Zack Martin, and Tyler Smith are all struggling with ankle issues, and Martin and Richards have even missed practice. Running back Hunter Luepke (calf) and cornerback Jourdan Lewis (neck) were full participants in practice, though. The team limits CeeDee Lamb (back) and Trevon Diggs (groin), while tight end Jake Ferguson will not play due to a concussion. Other players, such as Marshawn Kneeland (knee), Eric Kendricks (groin), and Nick Vigil (foot), are not practicing, and the team is limiting both Daron Bland (foot) and Brandin Cooks (knee).

The Giants have their own injury list to worry about. Linebacker Micah McFadden (thumb) and cornerback Deonte Banks (rib) are both limited in practice. Defensive linemen D.J. Davidson (shoulder) and Armon Watts (shoulder) are either limited or not practicing at all. Linebacker Azeez Ojulari (toe) and offensive tackle Evan Neal (hip) are out. The team is limiting tight end Theo Johnson (back) and defensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (quad). If defensive players like McFadden, Banks, and Davidson miss practice or have limited participation, the teams’ performance will be affected significantly.
