A blockbuster trade proposal has the Dallas Cowboys blowing up the NFL by dealing superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to another top team in the NFC.
CeeDee Lamb is holding in hopes of landing a new deal with the Cowboys. The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and the 2024 NFL regular season kicks off in just 23 days.
Though Cowboys owner Jerry Jones hasn’t at all indicated that he’s open to trading Lamb, the lack of an extension at this point of the offseason is a cause for concern in Dallas. Remember, Jones promised in January that his team would be “all-in” this offseason.
Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton recently proposed five blockbuster trade ideas involving Lamb. One of those proposals has Dallas sending CeeDee Lamb to the Detroit Lions in exchange for wide receiver Jameson Williams and 2025 first and third-round picks:
“Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson can interchange St. Brown and Lamb in his formations. Both receivers can line up on the inside and outside. When you factor in LaPorta and Gibbs, Detroit’s offense could be a matchup nightmare for opponents.
Williams may need a change of scenery, where he could be one of the primary pass-catching options, to reach his full potential.
(Wide receiver Jalen) Tolbert is an unproven starter, and Brandin Cooks is going into his age-31 term. In Dallas, Williams could emerge as the lead receiver if he can stay on the field.”

The Lions traded up to select Williams 12th overall in 2022, hoping he’d emerge as the focal point of their offense. But injuries and a suspension for gambling have limited Williams to 18 total NFL games over his first two seasons, and he only has 25 receptions for 395 yards and three touchdowns.
Trading for Lamb would certainly require at least one-first round pick and likely a day-two pick. Williams’ sky-high potential should appeal to Dallas in a potential trade discussion with the Lions, so Moton’s proposal here would make sense for both teams.
The Cowboys open their 2024 season on Sept. 8, when they play on the road against Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns.
CeeDee Lamb Will Easily Earn Over $100 Million On Next Deal
Seeing what Justin Jefferson (four years, $140 million) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (four years, $120.01 million) received this offseason, it’s obvious that Lamb will easily score nine figures on his next contract.
Lamb has cemented himself as a top-five receiver in football, and he’s only entering his prime. Somebody is going to pay him what he’s worth. The only question is who.
