One of the greatest players in Dallas Cowboys history is reportedly set to take his talents elsewhere for the next chapter of his career.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Pro Bowl offensive tackle Tyron Smith “is unlikely to return to” the Cowboys in 2024 and will instead hit free agency. Smith has spent his entire 13-career with America’s Team.
The 33-year-old Smith was taken ninth overall by the Cowboys in the 2011 NFL Draft. He’s gone on to earn eight Pro Bowl nods to go along with two First-team All-Pro selections while also being named to the 2010s All-Decade Team.
Injuries have limited Smith to 30 games over the last four seasons, but he’s still one of football’s elite offensive tackles when healthy.
