Because of that high asking price, Josina Anderson says the team is “not immediately” considering a trade because they don’t think they can afford him.
The Cowboys hold their first, second, third and fourth, and seventh-round draft picks for the 2024 NFL Draft. However, they’re lacking fifth and sixth-round draft picks due to earlier trades.

While Dallas is unlikely to give up their first-round pick for Taylor, they could theoretically package a second or third-round pick with another pick, but it would end up being just for a rental since they do not have the money to give him the contract that he is seeking.
